There are times in life where it seems like everything is falling apart around us, where we have tried everything we can but can't seem to get through it. Therapy allows us to freely explore our thoughts and feelings without the fear of judgment or reprisal. It is my desire to create a trusting, caring and respectful relationship with you so that we can work through your challenges together. As a Psychotherapist, my approach is client centered, which means that, utilizing empathy, I ensure you will have a voice and be heard in an environment void of judgement.

From a young age, I have been passionate about helping people and was eager to learn more about human behaviour, relationships and how I could use my skills to help others live happier and more fulfilled lives. I enjoy interacting with children and adults and getting to know people on a deeper, more complex level. Having lived in Africa, Australia, India, the Middle East and Canada, I appreciate meeting people from various cultural backgrounds. Since High School, I have been intrigued and fascinated with Psychology and the nature of human behaviour. I completed my Bachelor of Art's degree with a double major in Psychology and Sociology, placing at the top of the Honors list for Psychology. I went on to pursue a Post Graduate Diploma in School Counselling Psychology. I provided clinical counselling and psychological assessments to children from grade 1 to grade 10. With the intent to expand and broaden my understanding of human behavior, I completed a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology. Since then, I have provided counselling and psychotherapy services to youth, adults, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds and varied socio-economic status. I provide psychotherapy from a client-centered framework by demonstrating acceptance, non-judgement and empathy to all clients. Humor and compassion also play a key role in my therapeutic approach.

I provide counselling from a multi-disciplinary model taking into account the biological, social, psychological, emotional and spiritual facets of life. From a personal paradigm of genuine sincerity, I believe that every individual is worthy of love and acceptance. My principles and beliefs of unconditional love are deeply rooted in my Christian faith. I utilize the following theoretical frameworks to assist my clients achieve their goals - Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy.
